Every species in the App is real. The scientific backbone comes from the Paleobiology Database under CC BY 4.0; the restoration illustrations are original watercolor-style artwork created with generative AI. Paleobiology Database (CC BY 4.0)
Scientific names, geological ages and localities in the fossil log are derived from the Paleobiology Database (PBDB), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. The PBDB is a public resource assembled and curated by many contributing researchers. Each entry in the App shows the PBDB taxon ID it was resolved against, so any entry can be traced back to the source record. Dino Strata is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, the Paleobiology Database or its contributors.

図鑑の学名・地質年代・産出地は、Paleobiology Database（PBDB）に由来し、クリエイティブ・コモンズ 表示 4.0 国際（CC BY 4.0）ライセンスのもとで利用しています。 PBDB は、多数の研究者が寄与・整備している公開データベースです。本アプリの各エントリには、照合に用いた PBDB の taxon ID を表示しているので、どのエントリからでも元のレコードをたどれます。 ディノストラータは、Paleobiology Database およびその寄与者と提携関係にはなく、推薦を受けたものでもありません。
What the source covers — and what it does not
The PBDB backs the scientific name, geological age and locality of each entry. That is the exact scope the App states on the entry itself. Body length and diet are editorial estimates compiled from general literature and museum material. They are not covered by the citation above, they are shown as approximations ("about 5.4 m"), and the App says so in the entry rather than letting the source line imply more than it backs. Ten entries whose restoration rests on limited evidence are flagged as such in the App.
出典が裏づける範囲・裏づけない範囲
PBDB が裏づけるのは、各エントリの学名・地質年代・産出地です。この範囲は、アプリのエントリ画面にもそのまま明記しています。 体長・食性は編集部による概数であり、一般的な文献・博物館資料をもとに編集したものです。上記の出典の裏づけ範囲外であるため、「約5.4m」のような概数として表示し、出典行が裏づけていない項目まで裏づけているように見せない形にしています。 復元の根拠が限られている10種については、その旨をアプリ内で明示しています。
Secondary source — Natural History Museum, London
For 22 dinosaur genera, the entry offers a "Read more" link to the Dino Directory of the Natural History Museum, London, as a human-readable secondary reference. Those pages remain the property of the Natural History Museum; we link to them and do not reproduce their text. Species without a verified secondary page carry no link — we would rather show nothing than a guess.

恐竜22属については、人間が読める二次出典として、ロンドン自然史博物館（Natural History Museum, London）の Dino Directory へのリンクを「詳しく読む」として用意しています。これらのページの権利は同館に帰属します。本アプリはリンクするのみで、本文を転載していません。 検証できた二次出典ページが無い種にはリンクを置いていません。推測でリンクを書くよりも、何も出さない方を選んでいます。
Generative-AI illustrations
The fossil restorations and the dig team characters are original watercolor-style artwork created with generative AI (image generation). They are not photographs and do not guarantee accurate scale, skeletal detail or coloration. Body colour and soft tissue are always interpretation. They are creative works made for enjoyment and viewing. The dig team members are fictional characters; they do not depict real people.

化石の復元図および発掘隊員のキャラクターは、生成AI（画像生成）を利用して制作した水彩画風のオリジナルイラストです。 写真ではなく、正確な縮尺・骨格の細部・体色を保証するものでもありません。体色や軟組織はつねに推定を含みます。娯楽・鑑賞を目的とした創作物です。 発掘隊員は架空のキャラクターであり、実在の人物を描いたものではありません。
About the restorations
Restorations of extinct animals are interpretations, and for many species more than one reconstruction is defensible — feather coverage on large theropods being the best-known example. The App does not present a single reading as settled fact: entries carry the note that other reconstructions exist, and entries whose evidence is limited say so. Dino Strata is a game, not an identification or appraisal tool. It never describes what a real fossil might be worth, and it does not encourage buying or selling specimens. If you spot an error, please let Support know — fossil data can be corrected without an app update.
復元について
絶滅動物の復元は解釈であり、多くの種では複数の復元が成り立ちます（大型獣脚類の羽毛被覆はその代表例です）。本アプリは、ひとつの読み方を確定した事実として提示しません。各エントリには「復元には諸説あります」という注記を添え、根拠が限られる種にはその旨を表示します。 ディノストラータはゲームであり、実物を同定・鑑定するアプリではありません。実物の化石の価値について語ることはなく、標本の売買を勧めることもありません。誤りにお気づきの場合はサポートまでお知らせください（化石データはアプリの更新なしで訂正を配信できる仕組みです）。

Sound effects
The sound effects use no external audio assets; they are short tones synthesized programmatically inside the App. Sound effects can be turned off, and the game is fully playable in silence. If a future update adopts external audio, its attribution will be listed here.
